IRIOS-2 launches

We are delighted to announce that IRIOS-2 launched earlier this month.  IRIOS-2 will:

  1. Extend the IRIOS proof of concept demonstrator to better handle non-standard research outputs and multiple authors and roles
  2. Enable HEIs to better collaborate by developing a CERIF B2B platform
  3. Enable RCs and HEIs to reconcile grant status and finance information
  4. Produce an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) connected cloud enabled version of IRIOS-2 such that it is RMAS compliant, encouraging better take-up
  5. Run a series of practical CERIF technical and business process workshops

IRIOS at euroCRIS seminar

I presented at the euroCRIS Strategic Seminar in Brussels 12-13 September.  With the help of JISC and eruroCRIS, the UK is moving ahead with adoption of CERIF as a standard exchange format.

IRIOS Workshop Parallel Sessions

As part of the IRIOS Project Workshop, four parallel themed discussion groups (each run twice) were facilitated by project members, which allowed delegates to participate in two groups. The four groups were as follows:

  1. Future Directions of ERA. Facilitator: Valerie McCutcheon, University of Glasgow
  2. Universal Researcher Ids. Facilitator: Keith Jeffery, euroCRIS
  3. Integrating research projects and outcomes.  Facilitator: Anna Clements, St Andrews University
  4. REF Considerations. Facilitator: Simon Kerridge, University of Sunderland
